Boulder Opal

This particular boulder opal gem was used in most of the following images. The magnification and position are varied.
The stone, a large and stunning gem, was found by the late Dr. Leigh Wallman at his famous mine 'Doreen's Glory' named after his wife.
The mine in the Winton boulder opal mining district of far western Queensland produced some of the finest boulder opal ever seen.
