Boulder Opal Minesite Rehabilitation Environmental Award

Rehabilitation activities at the Gorge boulder opal mine were recognised and received an environmental award in 1993.
It was the inaugural Premier's Award (John Goss) for Environmental Excellence in the Queensland Mining Industry.
Although I received the award being the mining lease holder, equal recognition goes to Dr. Brian Senior (www.photogeologist.com) who was my partner in this and other projects and who prepared the application and documentation.
